Cupcakes & Carousels Suite - Stampin' Up!

Hello There,

Today I want to share with you a Birthday Card I made for my lovely Friend and Downline Annette, It uses the DSP and the Embellishment Kit from the Cupcakes & Carousels Suite it super prettilicous.

I absolutely love this suite, and the Samples in the Spring Catalogue are just so inspiring, Whilst I used the suite for most of the card , I used a sentiment thats at the back of the catalogue called suite Sentiments, it has something for every occassion and works perfectly with the suite...

I just love the colour ways of the papers I used Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and So Saffron, Yummy!

Look at that cute Bow and Tassle... LOVE IT!!

Global Design Project 073 | Colour Challenge #DGP073

Hello There,
Today I wanted to share a quick make I made to enter the Global Design Project Challenge HERE,

It's a Colour Callenge this week and BOY was it a Challenge indeed,  Very Strong Colours, Don't get me wrong I am not afraid of Strong Colours, But these bamboozaled me for sure..

For some reason I really struggled, I wanted to use the Inside The Lines DSP free with a £45 order in Sale -A-Bration,  The DSP is fairly busy and to be honest I think its best left uncoloured as its striking enough, with just a pop of colour in the Card Blank or sentiment mat of using one..

I used the new Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Phew that was a mouthful wasn't it....    I coloured the petals only using the Watermelon Wonder, and then Added Daffodil Delight Enamel Dots.

If you wish to purchase any Stampin Up products from me online in January, please be sure to use the Hostess Code below when ordering over £20 to be sure to get a Free product Thank you Gift from me,,,,

Birthday Box and Badge the Urban Underground way.... #GDP071

Hello There,

Today I am sharing the Matching Box and Birthday Badge that goes with the card from my last post.
I am entering this into the Global Design Project Blog Challenge HERE  and the challenge for this week is a Theme

Its a simple box that houses the Badge and a bar of Chocolate or perhaps a Gift Card, I made a rosette to put on top, I was inspired to make one after seeing a card that a fellow Demo Caroline Van Der Stratten a Dutch Demo made, All you need to do is  cut a piece of DSP 12 inch long by however wide you wish the rosette to be, mine is 1 &1/2 inches wide, and then score at every 1/4 inch , A score Board is best for this!

I also made a Matching Badge for the Birthday Boy to Wear!  I simply added a sticky backed badge pin to the back

I used the same products as the card  from the Urban Underground Suite that you can find on page 47 of the new Spring Catalogue .   I did a background too as per the Card, using the Hexagon Embossing Folder in the Suite, just by swiping Basic Grey ink over the protruding part of the design and laying my Card stock over the top pressing down randomly into the ink.......

Casing a Layout in the Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer Catalogue

I love Stampin' Up! Catalogues, as they are a fabulous source of inspiration always,  The design Artist's do a fabulous Job,   Stampin' Up! actively encourages us Demo's to CASE the designs to share with you.

In this instance I have I have Cased a Design on page 7 in the Current Spring/Summer 2017 Catalogue  not used the Stamp Set that they have, But just incorporated the Card Layout in my creation,  as I love it and used it and the same colourways for a card on THIS post!

Here is the Card I am casing...

It's a vertsatile design I am sure you will agree, It also makes for a quick and simple creation when you need something punchy on a time strapped day....

Something as simple as changing up the colour, or the image makes it your own....

I must remember to order more sequins has I have none left after making the Chicken ones for Team Training Swap...

Customer Thank You's Urban Underground....

Hello There,

I had a few Customer Thank you's to make to send out with the Hostess Thank You Gifts from last month's orders.  I cased a fabulous card I received in a Shoebox Swap from my lovely friend  and downline Linda Kasparian from A pocket full of crafts HERE

I made Notelets from Basic Grey Card Stock, the Card Blank measurements are 7 x 5 inches and scored at 3 1/2 along the longer length, You could make your own envelopes for this size with the Envelope Punch Board, But I used left over Envies from the Stampin Up Whisper White Note Cards when I used the notecard for swaps, Waste not want not as they say!!

I used the Sassy Lady , whom reminds me of Audrey Hepburn, and paper pieced her outfit using the Urban Under Ground DSP,  I also used Basic Grey Cardstock and Stamped the image randomly on the front of the card blank using the Versamark Ink pad making a background.  And two strips washi tape  again from the  urban Indergroung suite, at the bottom on the stamped image mat.

The sentiments come from two other stamp set , JUST A NOTE came from the Designer Tin of Cards and the THANKS came from Tin of Cards...

Christmas Pines and Pine Bough Stampin up ! May your Christmas Sparkle with Joy and Happiness!

"May your Christmas Sparkle with Joy and Happiness!"

What a beautiful sentiment to put on your handmade Christmas Cards and indeed Handmade Packaging!

This is one of 8 Sentiments in the Christmas Pine Set of which has 22 stamp images in, I used this Set with the Die Set that co ordinates with it, as well as a co ordinating Embossing Folder called Pine Bough Textured.

I went for a yearly get together with some friends and we always make a little treat gift to hand out, and this year I purchased a fabulous slab of exquisite Chocolate from Aldi no less, the packaging is just like Fortnum & Mason pretty packaging in itself, But I wanted to pimp it up a bit,  To be fair I would not have used the colours I did but I was governed by the Chocolate Dressing and I think they turned out rather nice..

The colourways are Bermuda Bay, Whisper White and Gold....   I made a box and matching card and added some embellishments I picked up from Sainsbury, I came across some rather cute Wooden  Reindeers painted in white and some wooden Snowflakes, got my tiny little white bells from a Christmas Heart decoration I just snipped the white and pulled them off.

To make the box I cut a piece of Bermuda Bay 6 1/4 inches x 9 1/2  inches and scored on all side at 3/4 inch,   for the lid  in Whisper White the same but added 1/16th of an inch making it 9 1/2 plus 1/16th x  61/4  plus 1/16th and again scored at 3/4 inch on all sides, so that I could see some Bermuda bay , before cutting to the score lines to make tabs  I trimmed 1/8th off all round.
For Centimetres I would cut bermuda Bay at 16 x 24cm, for the lid 16.3 x 24.3 and score all round at 2cm.

Hope you like as much as I do!
